After an incredible trip to China, there is more excitement coming up this weekend for several of our NVA athletes! NVA investors in both China and USA have graciously extended an invitation to celebrate the Chinese Moon Festival at a ceremonial event this upcoming weekend! Chinese Moon Festival is one of the major Chinese Holidays throughout Asian culture. It is a celebration in which Chinese family members near and far are reunited and celebrate one another. It is very similar to the Thanksgiving holiday in the western cultural. The NVA is honored that our investors consider us as their family members and have invited us to celebrate with them at this exclusive event. Representing the NVA will be the Cullen Irons (Rising Tide), Weston Barnes (Sizzle), Joahnnes Brink (Blizzard), Coley Pawlikowski (VP of Operations), Cynthia Buggs (Sponsorship Relations), and Howard Ouellette (CEO). We are thrilled to accept this invitation and are looking forward to having some fun off the court! Where is the event taking place? We will be heading to the heart of Los Angeles to Li Orient's Asian Bar and Restaurant http://www.liorientrestaurant.com/ Li Orient is housed in the downtown US Bank Tower, offering up some of the best rooftop views in all of LA! We will also have the opportunity to visit the OUE Skyspace entertainment area test our fear of heights on the fully enclosed glass slide perched 1,000 feet over Los Angeles. We will be treated to cocktails, dinner, a ceremonial Moon Cake tasting, musical performances, and dancing. Dinner will feature the highly regarded Birds Nest as the main course. Birds Nest is an authentic Chinese delicacy and is touted as one of the most famous Chinese dishes most commonly prepared for an Emperor. Stay tuned to NVAUSA social media this weekend for our culinary critic and most adventurous eater through China (Cullen Irons) for his thoughts and review!
